How is Network Spinal different than regular Chiropractic?

Network Spinal (NS) focuses on the nervous system directly by addressing spinal cord tension for the highest coherence of your nervous system. It also seeks to integrate the various tissues of the body with the brain’s coordination of ease and efficiency. Traditional Chiropractic also works with the nervous system, but its focus is on reducing any interference of the brain-body connection by adjusting joints that may be causing that interference. Both techniques address increasing range of motion and hence a greater wellbeing. Unlike traditional Chiropractic “adjustments” with a cracking sound, Network Spinal uses light force contacts that allow for a reorganizational healing modality called “entrainments”. Adjustments are only used at a certain point in NS care to increase the oscillation movement that is occurring.

Can it fix my specific issue?

NS helps give your body the tools it needs for true healing: a coherent and efficient nervous system and the relaxation from a return to a parasympathetic (rest, digest, regenerate) state, increased easeful breathing that signals the body to release healing chemicals, calmer mind to make better choices for one’s health, deeper connection to one’s body, emotions and higher brain thinking, increased sustainable energy. All systems need energy to heal and grow. Whether you are trying to heal a broken leg or have trouble with sleeping or have ADHD, bringing your nervous system into a balanced and calm state will increase your healing potential no matter what your health goals are.

What does it feel like?

There are 4 levels of care and each one is a different depth into the tissue. For the first level of care (around 8-10 visits) the contacts are quick and very gentle, like a butterfly landing on your spine. Later levels of care will be deeper but only a small amount. Some people cannot tell the difference between the levels of care. You may experience a profound sense of peace, you may feel tired and ready for a much-needed nap, you might feel centered and yet energized. Occasionally someone may feel a bit worse for a few sessions and then have break throughs that they have not been able to have with any other type of care. It just depends and everyone is different.

How long do I have to keep coming back?

With NS care we are creating new pathways in the brain that signal health and vitality. This takes repetition and consistency.  At first an immersion is important to get the contacts in the brain-body memory and develop the strategies for your nervous system to have access to the best tools it has. After the initial care of around 10 visits, you can choose if you want to keep building on what we have created or maintain where your nervous system has reached. The more you get care, the more efficient and resilient and thriving your nervous system will be. Honestly, like going to the dentist, it’s good to have spinal care the rest of your life. It’s up to you what pace you want to continue with the levels of care.

Is there Science behind this work or is it just another new age healing approach?

There is. NS is one of the most studied Chiropractic techniques around. University of Southern California did a thorough study of the Spinal Wave that gets created in this work. It was found to be the only other “Central Pattern Generator” other than your unique walking gait, 100% unique to you and your movement pattern. Imagine having each segment of your spine moving from your unique signature and not from the limited built-up defenses we all carry from life’s stressors. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4939370/

What if I don’t think it’s working? What if I don’t feel anything?

Everyone experiences this work differently. We are all different and some people can connect to what’s happening and others have a harder time feeling it. The way we experience external input varies. Some people are very sensitive to touch and can feel the contacts easily and someone else may connect more to how it’s easier to move or sleep but couldn’t feel anything during the session at all. If there comes a time where you just can’t connect with this work, there is no pressure to keep going. Only you will know if you are experiencing anything helpful to your life and healing process.

Can it help my kids?

Definitely. Kids can have just as many life stressors as adults they are just different. Offering care to kid is the best way to help them build the strategies of resilience and adaptability early in their growth and reduce the ways they create defense posturing.

Catch it early!

How much will it cost?

Dr Nicole has created bundles and packages to help give you the most affordable care she can. Her prices are comparable to current local prices and they will be discussed in detail when you have your first call with her. Compared to medical care this is not nearly as expensive. She does not currently take insurance but she may in the future. If you are committed to healing,  her rates are a very reasonable way to reach your goals.
